Participants are given 30 minutes to create their original version of a healthy sandwich.

How to Take Part

• Email to your Name, Contact No., the category you want to participate & the Sandwich Recipe by 24 July 2017, midnight with “Healthy Sandwich Contest” as your subject title.
• Shortlisted contestants will be contacted via email by 26 July 2017 with the contest details.
• Each contestant needs to prepare his/her sandwich/burger according to the recipe submitted at the event for the judges to taste.
• 5 contestants will go into the finals which will be held on 30 July.
• Shortlisted contestants are allowed to bring a maximum of 3 ingredients (e.g. 1) homemade meat patty-cooked, (e.g. 2) special sauce, (e.g. 3) pineapple.
• Basic kitchen utensils will be provided.
• Open fire cooking is not allowed; a toaster will be provided.
• The organiser will provide basic ingredients such as Sunshine’s Hokkaido Milk Toast (for Kid’s category), Sunshine’s Canadian Sprout Extra Fine (for Open category), tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce, butter, cheese, salt and pepper.

Judging Criteria

Judging will be based on:
Taste: 40%
Presentation: 20%
Preparation Hygiene: 10%
Relevance to Health: 30%
